Kat Barrell
 SHE / HER

Kat Barrell is a Canadian actress best known for her role as Sheriff Nicole Haught from Wynonna Earp. Born in Toronto, Canada, young Barrell could be found on a basketball court or starring in school plays. Beyond her collaboration with a friend on a play they not only wrote, but directed and performed, she directed her high school’s production of The WIzard of Oz.

Behind the camera, Barrell has created her own production company Blue Eyed Bandit. Her projects include the Breakdown, Cannonball and the award winning Dissecting Gwen. Her most recent project Pooched - The Series, stars Bernie, Barrell’s own dog. Barrell started Flat Bernie as a promotion of the series for fans. Since it’s release, a fan run Twitter account FlatBernieAdventures catalog where fans have carried the print.

Portraying one half of the power lesbian couple, WayHaught, Barrell has been a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. In the August, 2019, edition of Diva Magazine, Barrell opened up about her personal life. Without giving herself a specific label, she stated she is attracted to both men and women. “This is why I am so passionate about advocating for equal acceptance across the spectrum of sexuality. Let’s just love who we love and leave each other alone.”

Barrell was written in by fans for the Canadian Screen Awards Audience Choice Award and made it to the final round. She slyly told fans on social media to vote for her co-star Dominique, who ultimately took home the prize.
